Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

  1. How often do you think you should send one from your business?
Depending on the type of newsletter it would vary, as just a simple information newsletter then biweekly or monthly would be the best option as you wouldn't want to bombard the person with information every week or every day. Although things like promotion could be more often as it would stimulate potential clients to call us or contact us for a specific promotion.

  1. What information could your business use for a newsletter? Write a list of content ideas you think your customers would enjoy seeing and explain why.
Some information that I could use for my business's newsletter would be promotions, why they should choose us over our competition, the services we offer, why certain services would be important to them, how certain services work, and why our services are beneficial. No doubt our clients would like a promotion, I mean who doesn't, but also it is the type of promotions, I have been thinking of sending a recommendation promotion where if one of our clients sends us a referral to us we would give our current client a percentage off their next booking with us and the new client would receive a certain percentage off their booking. It would be a win-win. When I first wrote "why they should choose us over our competition" it sounded a little bit harsh to our competition, in our newsletter it would really be why not to choose them but more of why they should choose us. We could send them emails about the services that we offer to and how they work and why they are beneficial, this will show our current/potential clients what we offer and how it can benefit them in either current or future circumstances.

    1. If you are working with your own real business, consider signing up for your competitors' newsletters. What do they cover in their news?

I wasn't able to signup for my competitions newsletters but my dad is a real estate agent and gets a lot of newsletters that relate to my business. Most of their newsletters are in the form of promotions and showing their services. Which honestly is probably the best for obtaining new clients as its straight to the point and gets them in the door.
